The long journey to return to her majestic grace is coming to fruition. I had the pleasure a few days ago to see the next phase of the “ Grand Ole Ladies” restoration. She will be magnificent.
Seeing her looking so elegant even at this stage of the game is the result of many long hours of planning, pushing, hard work, much needed funding, and the leadership of Billy Roback, nice job, & kudos to you for taking a stance & following through, that is not the whole story, many others have contributed the blood sweat & possibly even some tears to make this transformation possible. She can & will be a wonderful asset to our community. So many local families have contributed photos, articles, & special mementos to make this ( soon we hope) a destination go to to explore our local heritage. Not only the museum, but imagine a lovely wedding in the Parlor, a string quartet playing period music, the old newly refurbished piano merrily playing Christmas Carols., a farmers market in the summer, Trick or Treating in the Fall Santa Mrs. Claus greeting the children at Christmas, just a few of the events that are in the planning stages.
Oh yes this will truly be a huge asset to our small but forward thinking community. The vision is nearing completion. Hopefully in just a few short weeks & she will again be a center of activity for all of us.
